If you come by boat, we have 2 marinas (one owned by the city) and we also have a boat launch on the south side of town. Trout fishing in Lansing Iowa is a little more exceptional- finding accessible spots can be difficult. In Lansing, we have great trout fishing spot called ‘Clear Creek Park’ which can be found by traveling west on our Main St. (Highway #9) and continuing about a mile outside of town. Look for the Iowa Department of Transportation’s familiar brown sign with a fish hook and fish on it. Make a left and go about 500 feet and the park is on the right.   The creek pans out to a slower moving creek if you follow it further east (towards Lansing) as in the pictures below.   Another great spot to trout fish is the creek right next to the Wexford Catholic Church about 8 miles south of Lansing on the Great River Road:      http://www.mylansingiowa.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/clearcreek1.jpg
